ELIGIBILITY

Adults (18 years old and older)

Lives in Metro Atlanta area, Athens-Clarke County, Barrow County, Gwinnett County, and Walton County (Anywhere in Georgia for the GED program and other online courses only)

Low-income (for scholarship opportunities)

No violent criminal convictions and no violent criminal pending charges

Students will participate in an interactive GED course that's in alignment with the official GED Test. Students will take a pretest or self-assessment to create a personalized learning plan, which will focus on the areas students will need to master to pass the official GED test and receive their high school equivalency diploma.

mENTORING
Students enrolled in the program can establish life-changing relationships with a mentor. Through individual and group tailored mentoring, students will receive the encouragement, tools, and support they need to overcome barriers and become successful.
TUTORING
Students enrolled in the program will have tutors available in all subject areas. Students will have the option to schedule a tutoring session or drop in during drop-in hours. Our tutors meet with students virtually, and the sessions are interactive.

LIFE SKILLS COURSES
Students enrolled in the program will have the opportunity to participate in various courses to help deal with the challenges and demands of their daily lives. These courses will help students overcome barriers and help them realize their true potential.
FINANCIAL LITERACY
Students will have the opportunity to participate in various courses to learn the basic skills and gain knowledge about financial management. These courses will challenge students to look at their financial situations and recognize the spending power they have or don't have, and gain the skills to change their future financially.

Post-Secondary Education planning
We assist students with post-secondary education planning. We help them identify their program of study and colleges/trade schools/technical schools to attend. We will assist with college application and financial aid application completion, scholarship essay, etc.
